Where I Stand
Life
I believe life is sacred and has a divine origin. Every life has value and deserves protection, especially those who cannot protect themselves. Being pro‑life to me means fostering a culture of life grounded in compassion, support, and care for both mothers and their children.
Second Amendment
The right to keep and bear arms is a God‑given right, not something granted by government. It’s a freedom that has shaped our country and our way of life. “Shall not be infringed” is clear, and I will stand up for that right.
Property Rights
& Land Use
Property rights are fundamental. The ability to own, use, and enjoy property is part of what allows individuals and families to build their lives and their future. Individuals are the best stewards of their own property and should be able to use it responsibly without unnecessary interference. Government’s role is to protect those rights, not make it harder for people to exercise them.
Property Taxes
I believe residential property taxes should be no more than necessary to fund the essential services our communities depend on, such as roads, water, and sewer. Government should be disciplined in its spending and accountable to the people it serves.
Property taxes should be fair, predictable, and grounded in a system that respects homeowners and the communities they live in.
Education &
Parental Rights
I believe it is a fundamental right of parents to direct the upbringing and education of their children. Parents should be able to choose the education options that best fit each of their children, without apology.
Public schools have played a vital role in building our country and our communities. They have educated generations, expanded opportunity, and helped shape who we are. I believe in strong public schools and the role they play in preparing students for life.
At the same time, no single approach works for every child. Public schools, charter schools, private and parochial schools, and homeschooling all have a place. Real education choice allows families to find what works best for their children.
Local Economy
& Jobs
The economy works when people and businesses are able to operate freely. It is not created by government. It is built by the people who live and work here.
Government’s role is to make it easier for that to happen, not stand in the way. That means maintaining a stable environment, keeping regulations limited and reasonable, and allowing businesses to plan, invest, and grow with confidence.
A strong local economy depends on the people and businesses already here. When they are able to succeed, they create jobs, support families, and keep our communities strong.
Energy &
Natural Resources
I believe Wyoming’s energy and natural resource industries are essential to our state and our way of life. Oil, gas, coal, trona, and mining have built our communities, supported our families, and helped power the country.
I support these industries and the people who work in them. They should not be held back by unnecessary regulation or by policies that ignore the realities of Wyoming.
Wyoming has a long history of responsible resource development. We can continue to lead by supporting our legacy industries and ensuring they remain strong for future generations.
Business Climate
& Infrastructure
I believe Wyoming and Sweetwater County should be places where businesses want to put down roots and grow. That comes from a strong foundation built on free‑market principles, limited regulation, and a predictable environment.
Government does not create jobs, but it does have a responsibility to do the basics well. That includes providing infrastructure such as roads, water, and sewer, and maintaining a stable environment where businesses can invest with confidence.
It is just as important to support the businesses that are already here and help them grow.
When those fundamentals are in place, businesses have the freedom to grow, create jobs, and strengthen our communities.
